From Skye to Stranraer
Serco’s is working closely with the Scottish Government to deliver a range of cleaning services at 53 sites across Scotland, from listed buildings to new buildings. These services are tailored exactly to the specific requirements of each site, ensuring the work environment is professionally and rigorously cleaned to the very highest level.
Serco trains its 200 plus cleaning employees to BICS standards (British Institute of Cleaning Science) - of which Serco is a supporting corporate member. By taking a committed stance towards the long-term career development of all our cleaning staff, Serco is fostering a working culture where the kite mark for cleanliness is flown by the staff in the field.
With cleaning products well noted as having a detrimental effect on the environment, especially damage to aquatic life caused by run-off from drain systems into rivers, Serco is minimising the impact of its services through use of non-polluting biological cleaning products.
The confidence in Serco’s cleaning services is such that we have been awarded contracts at sites as far north as the Shetland Islands, to as far south as the Scottish-English border at Stranraer.
