Facilities Management at NHS Forth Valley Acute Hospital
Serco is set to support NHS Forth Valley Acute Hospital in ensuring the highest quality healthcare by providing innovative, efficient Facilities Management. These 16 services will include ward housekeeping, portering, catering, switchboard, utilities management, building maintenance, reception, waste management, linen, security, car parking and grounds maintenance.
Serco has drawn on its healthcare experience to influence the design of the new hospital, thereby enhancing management of infection control. Innovations include segregation of patient, visitor and goods traffic flows as well as the introduction of an Automatic Guided Vehicle system to support the movement of materials in tunnels beneath the building.
With a focus on patients, Serco will work together with doctors, nurses and managers to create a hospital of which the local community can be proud.
