Serco Assurance's current project list reflects its global reputation as a centre of excellence in the fields of safety, environment, risk, reliability and asset management. 

Among other critical initiatives, the business is currently helping to bring regulation standards in the Bulgarian nuclear industry up to Western European standards; providing fitness centres in the UK with guidance on asbestos management; producing training programmes on control room design for London Underground; and advising on the decontamination of a former military site in north Wales.

With a heritage of excellence stretching back over 50 years, Serco Assurance employs around 500 scientists and engineers, many of them recognised experts in their chosen disciplines. Together, they provide complementary skills in ergonomics, psychology, materials testing and information technology – among other disciplines. The business currently has around 500 contracts and operates primarily in civil nuclear, defence, transport and homeland security markets.
